Air Fryer Corn On The Cob
Once again, the air fryer works its magic! Just when I believed my admiration for this remarkable countertop powerhouse couldn’t grow any stronger, I experimented with a fresh recipe that left me utterly amazed. It’s safe to say that air fryer corn on the cob completely blew me away.
No longer do you have to wait for water to boil or the grill to warm up; the results achieved through air frying combine the best aspects of both methods.
The kernels are wonderfully tender-crisp, with a mix of lightly browned and delicately charred edges. Among all the techniques for preparing corn on the cob, the air fryer has secured its place as my new favorite.
How to Cook Corn on the Cob in the Air Fryer
Cooking corn on the cob in an air fryer couldn’t be simpler (or faster!) – just follow these three easy steps:
Shuck corn: Remove the husks from the corn as the air fryer heats up. If necessary, you can cut each corn cob in half to ensure they fit comfortably in a single layer within the air fryer.
Season the Corn: Coat each piece of corn with a light layer of olive oil and sprinkle them with kosher salt.
Air Fry the Corn: Air fry the corn until it reaches a tender state with slightly charred edges, which usually takes around 6 to 8 minutes.
Given the swift cooking time for air fryer corn on the cob, it’s best to leave this as the final item you cook for your dinner spread. This way, you can let it cook while you set the dinner table and arrange the rest of the meal. This ensures that the plate of corn remains steamy hot when it’s time to enjoy.
Air Fryer Corn on the Cob Recipe
Whether you choose to serve air fryer corn on the cob as is or embellish it with melted butter and a sprinkle of salt, it makes for a timeless summer side dish that beautifully complements practically any main course you’ve prepared.
Additionally, you can remove the kernels from the cob and incorporate them into salads, pastas, and other side dishes.
