Ingredients

  • 3–4 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (or canola oil)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Add vegetable oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined (do not overmix).
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture
  • Avoid overmixing to prevent dense bread
  • You can add chocolate chips or nuts for variation
