How to prepare air fryer brats
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 17 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- Cooking spray
 - 4 uncooked bratwurst sausages (e.g., Johnsonville®)
 - 4 brat or sausage buns

Directions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F (193 degrees C). You can either spray the fryer basket with cooking spray or use an air fryer disposable parchment liner.

- Place the brats in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded and have some space around them. Cook until they are nicely browned, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, which should take about 12 to 15 minutes. To ensure they are thoroughly cooked, use an instant-read thermometer inserted near the center; it should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees).

Cook’s Note
If you have the time, allowing the brats to come to room temperature before cooking will help them cook faster and more evenly. The cooking time may need to be adjusted up or down by a minute or so depending on the brand, wattage, and size of your air fryer.
